Equal Opportunity Flirt

Grandpa was so happy to hear
he needed a haircut.
You would think that he had been
deprived of this simple treat.

Every time we go see the ladies at
SuperCut he smiles and
chats them up.

And he doesn't want to leave.

I'm thinking I need to have them
wash and dry his hair next time.
Give the man a thrill.

So Glad You Are Feeling Better....

Last week Steve had a cold.  He was so weak that he couldn't walk but a few steps and his throat was so sore he wasn't talking much.

Over the weekend Steve had to be taken to the Emergency Room at Good Sam.  He spent about 5 hours getting tests and scans all to find out he has, oh, a cold.  How 'bout that.

Steve is feeling better now.  Here's our conversation while sitting at the table:

Steve:  I want more cookies
Me:  I think three is enough.  Can I get you some fruit or crackers though.
Steve:  (growling) No?  That's it.  I'm leaving.(scooting away from the table)
Me:  Okay, see ya.
Steve:  Wait.  What?

2015, the end.

We had Steve through December 30th.  He wanted to know why he couldn't stay longer that morning.  It is difficult at best to try and tell him why without upsetting him so I opted for telling him he could stay forever.

Steve:  I can?
Me:  Sure!
Steve:  When do I start?
Me:  Now!
Steve:  Now?
Me:  Yup!
Steve:  Oh, good.  Can I go to bed now?
Me:  Bwwwaaaa, I don't think so.

And the Answer is.... Elephant?

Home Goods is a parade for the senses.
Grandpa found JUST the THING for the kids!
An Elephant.
Uh-huh.

Grandpa Explaining in detail why the kids needed THIS elephant.

"Are you kidding me?"
(Response to me saying, "I don't think so.")

After I told him I would buy it for him to
take to Morningside.
"My Mother would hate it.", then he laughed.

A Little Something for Bob (and Jim)

Monday Grandpa and I made our first trip to
Bass Pro Shop.
Wow.

"That's it!"
What?
"That!"
Whaaaat?
Oh, dear heavens.
"Bob will like that...
and Jim!"

Yes, it's exactly what you thought.
Lure mailboxes.
Can't choose one....

Writing 101

Grandpa and I were sitting on the couch
watching Tony Bennett.

UPS knocked so I put down my work
to take the package.

I sat back down and didn't notice my
pen missing.

I'll give you one hint who found the pen ....
Grandpa hid the pen and tried to stuff
the mat underneath him.

Now if it said,
"Help! I'm being held hostage!"
that would have been funny.

Book Fair Help

We went to the ACS Book Fair yesterday.
Grandpa volunteered to help.
We MAY have found a few books...maybe...

Grandpa loved being around all the activity
AND
kids.  Always the kids.

Thanks Shannan for another fun fair!
